Maria D. Oseguera, M.D., Family Practice Physician

Maria graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Anthropology; she then received her medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in Los Angeles. She completed her family practice residency in 1996. Dr. Oseguera is bilingual (Spanish/English) and has been practicing in San Diego since 1998.

Edward Schumaker, D.O., Family Practice Physician

Edward graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Biology; he then received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Western Univesity of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He completed his family practice residency in 1991. Dr. Schumaker has been practicing in San Diego since 1998.

The team at Eastlake Family Medical strives to set up the clinic so that when people walk in they feel like they are walking into a home! Maria Oseguera and Edward Schumaker are local residents of Chula Vista and are committed to serving the community. The doctor couple are parents of two and treat their patients just as if they were family; creating a relaxing atmosphere for all patients. The doctors focus on medical care for the entire family and are trying to bring back that time when the family saw the same doctor for years. As a small practice, same-day appointments, short wait times, and a focus on the individual patient are standard. The doctors are board-certified in Family Medicine. When you choose us, you join a community. We work not just with you, but with other members of our community to build a network of people working together for a healthier world.
